Ibis Styles, Liverpool

  • Client: Accor
  • Designer: Leach Rhodes Walker Architects

Designed by LRW in Manchester the interior scheme of the Ibis Styles Liverpool is subliminally Beatles themed, with each floor based on a different Beatles song including ‘Ticket to Ride’, ‘Strawberry Fields’, ‘Yesterday’ and ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’.

Chelsom supplied a mixture of standard and bespoke products for the reception area and guestrooms of the hotel. Many of the bespoke pieces were  modifications of standard items, such as a change of dimension or a variation of colour of the cable. All based on contemporary design, the selected fittings included LED reading lights and desk lights finished in Brushed Nickel, and Recess wall lights for above the mirrors. A variety of pendants were selected for the bedside lighting, each floor with a different product in keeping with the subliminal Beatles theme throughout including retro inspired polished chrome circular pendants, fittings from the ‘Dine’ range in opal and black glass variations and customised ‘Ambient’ pendants in White Mesh and Black finishes.
