Crystal Serenity

During the refurbishment programme of Crystal Cruises luxurious ‘Serenity’ cruise liner, Chelsom worked closely with designers, Adfecto Design and outfitters, Conit Solutions to transform the lighting for the Lido dining area.

Chelsom were commissioned to produce two types of customised pendant luminaires based on concept designs from the designers with the intention of creating true statement lighting features.  The basic concept was to create a series of glowing opal globe luminaires with a decorative antique bronze metalwork surround and state of the art retrofit LED lighting supported on a bronze fixed rod and ceiling rose. Eleven of these metallic globes were created for the Lido restaurant with one larger elliptical fitting featuring a trio of acrylic globes taking pride of place above the serving counters.
