Abbey House Hotel

  • Client: Bethell Group
  • Designer: APM Design

APM Design commissioned Chelsom to provide a distinctive lighting scheme for the guestrooms and public areas of the Abbey House Hotel, situated in the heart of the Lake District. The opulent Artichoke pendant featuring random curved metal leaves finished in Florentine Antique Gold Leaf was specified for the entrance hall, lined with internal gold leaf to reflect a warm glow. The private dining area features the six armed Glasgow chandelier in a Penny Bronze finish teamed with silk shades in toffee tones. A series of Niche floor lamps in Polished Chrome with cream shades finished in an eye catching black trim complete the lighting scheme for the dining area creating additional ambient lighting.

The Plaza table and floor lights finished in Brushed Nickel were specified throughout the guestrooms and teamed with neutral shades to complement the interior scheme.  Combination LED reading lights with rectangular cream shades and flexi arm heads allow for optimum light direction providing a stylish yet functional solution for the bedside while oversized cream circular shade pendants with frosted glass diffuser create a contemporary centrepiece.
