Lighting is a major consideration of any restoration project, but finding specialists capable of sympathetically restoring luminaires back to their former glory, or manufacturing product to suit the scale and style of the building is no easy task.
Chelsom, has been restoring period fittings for sixty years and has been involved in many of the nation's major restoration projects. It is a Chelsom policy never to over-restore a period fitting, preferring to renovate the luminaire sympathetically so as to retain a natural patina commensurate with its true age.
The company also designs and manufactures bespoke luminaires to suit churches, public buildings, galleries and town halls and can manufacture replica luminaires to replace the originals when repair and renovation is not a viable option.
