Pullman London St Pancras

  • Client: Accor
  • Designer: Proof Consultancy Ltd

Located in Central London, a short walk from Kings Cross, St Pancras and Euston railway stations, the Pullman London St Pancras is the first of Accor’s Pullman branded hotels to appear in UK. The 4 star hotel has 132 guest rooms, a restaurant, bar and 17 meeting and conference spaces. Interior designers Proof Consultancy Ltd have created an incredible aura of modernity throughout the hotel, with a strikingly original and fabulously contemporary scheme, making it ideal for tourists on city breaks as well as those travelling on business.

Chelsom have supplied almost all of the lighting throughout the guestrooms and the public areas. A main feature of the guestroom lighting is the striped shades on all fittings including the bedside wall sconces, the floor lamps, a desk lamp and a wall light over the seating area. All lighting is bespoke with contemporary lines and shapes, beautifully finished in brushed nickel. To accompany the bedside wall sconces, small brushed nickel LED reading lights are fitted to the leather head boards.

In the public spaces, bespoke lighting by Chelsom follows the creative designs of Proof Consultancy Ltd to create some unique fixtures. The main pendants running down the spine of the lobby and restaurants contrast laser cut bronze metalwork with off white cotton shades to provide centrepieces. Over-sized black cotton shades suspended over the waiter stations in the restaurant throw pockets of light onto the counters below. Matching wall lights and banquet seating lights in the reception area and restaurant combine polished chrome metalwork with draped glass crystals to give a fantastically sparkling result. Towering “helter-skelter” black floor lamps feature throughout the many seating areas in the lobby and restaurant whilst contemporary crane like floor lamps with perforated metal shades line the lift lobby and lounge. Finally, both the bar and reception desks are lit by super modern “up and over” LED task lights.
